  Gwangju Design Biennale:
2nd Sep-23rd Oct, 2011

As part of the pre-events of the biennale a banquet of 'Food is Food is Not Food' was held in London where guests had to imbibe liquids through plastic tubes, eat buns suspended from the ceiling and lick jelly from a petridish. The video from this dinner will be exhibited as part of the food community.
A host of international designers who regularly work with food have been asked to rethink the way we eat at the table. Anchored by the table designs of young Korean designer, JaebeomJeong, these designers have responded in a variety of innovative ways: from social kitchen labs and studies on current eating habits to slow fast food restaurants and edible dishes; the designers have explored what eating means and its importance to community identity.

'mono chair' proto version:
8th-12nd December for
Seoul Design Festival 2010

The grid chair represents one of my works that pursue the nature and functions of objects. Mono chair is coming up with an answer for finding the ultimate foundation of a chair design in the way that a production process is highly minimized. Mono chair seeks an extreme simplicity by a conventional way, welding which does not need any small components such as bolts or nuts. Mono chair proto version will be revealed at the '2010 Seoul Design Festival' for the first time.
